Certified Materials
Legacy Materials currently offers certified concrete sand, porous backfill, and D-57. We also have our own in-house certified lab and aggregate technician who continually monitors the products as we produce them.
D-57
D57 is a washed coarse aggregate that must meet specific physical properties and sizes. Because the material is washed, it contains minimal fines and reduces deleterious materials. This rock extends the life expectancy of roads, reduces cracks, freeze/thaw impacts and maintenance costs. Legacy’s D57 Aggregates meets Iowa’s Class 2 specifications.
Porous Backfill/Intermediate 4112
Legacy Materials’ Porous Backfill meets the quality usage designations in the state of Iowa. Because our pea rock meets the specifications for porous backfill, it also meets the specifications for 4112 intermediate aggregate.
Concrete Sand
The Iowa Department of Transportation has an established quality assurance program in order to assure that quality materials and construction workmanship are incorporated into all highway construction projects. Legacy Materials is proud to provide Iowa DOT Certified Concrete products to it customers.
